Installation Guide

Required Tools

  • 10mm wrench – disconnect the vehicle’s battery
  • Flathead screwdriver – remove the airbag module
  • 16mm wrench – remove the factory steering wheel
  • Anti-static or insulated gloves (to protect yourself and vehicle electronics)

1. Safety First: Disconnect the Battery

  • Turn the vehicle off
  • Open the hood and disconnect the negative battery terminal using a 10mm wrench
  • Wait 10–15 minutes to ensure the airbag system is fully powered down

2. Remove the Airbag Module

  • Locate 2–3 access holes behind the steering wheel
  • Insert a flathead screwdriver to gently release the retaining springs
  • Pull the airbag forward and disconnect the yellow connector
  • Place the airbag upward on a flat, stable surface

3. Remove the Steering Wheel

  • Unplug all wiring connectors
  • Loosen and remove the center bolt using a 16mm wrench
  • Rock the wheel gently side-to-side and pull it off the column
  • Avoid rotating the clock spring behind the wheel

4. Transfer Components to the New Wheel

  • Move buttons, trim, and paddle shifters from the original wheel to the new wheel
  • Maintain the same layout to ensure proper functionality
  • Secure all components tightly

5. Install the New Steering Wheel

  • Align the wheel with the column marks and slide onto the spline
  • Reinstall and tighten the center bolt
  • Plug in all connectors as on the original wheel
  • Reinstall the airbag until it clicks securely

6. Reconnect the Battery

  • Reattach the negative terminal
  • Start the vehicle and confirm if:
    1. Steering wheel controls work correctly
    2. Airbag light functions normally

7. Optional: LED Display Installation

Connections required:
Red wire → 12V accessory power
Black wire → Ground (chassis or suitable bolt)
OBD module → Plug into car’s OBD-II port for RPM, speed, and shift lights

Important:
We strongly recommend the installation of your new steering wheel to be made by a qualified mechanic or automotive electrician. This
applies to all aftermarket steering wheels, with or without LED displays.
